These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and State Street Lanes, LLC (“State Street Lanes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 915 State Street, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Site immediately. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically for updates.
2. Eligibility
The Site is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. By using this Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Users under 13 are prohibited from submitting personal information through the Site's forms or interactive features.

4. Reservations, Bookings & Purchases
Lane reservations, party bookings, league registrations, and any other requests submitted through the Site are considered requests only and are not confirmed until you receive explicit written or electronic confirmation from State Street Lanes staff.
We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any reservation or booking at our discretion, including but not limited to situations involving equipment failure, staffing issues, inclement weather, or facility emergencies. In the event of a cancellation initiated by State Street Lanes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and offer an alternative time or a full refund if applicable.
All pricing displayed on the Site is subject to change without notice. Prices at the time of your visit may differ from those published online. Tax and gratuity are not included in listed prices unless otherwise stated.
For party bookings and group events, a deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the scheduled event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Alcohol Policy
State Street Lanes holds a valid liquor license issued by the State of Iowa and serves alcoholic beverages on premises. In accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 123, you must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo identification to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages.
Acceptable forms of identification include a state-issued driver's license or ID card, a United States passport or passport card, or a United States military identification card. Expired, damaged, or altered identification will not be accepted.
State Street Lanes reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any individual at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to suspected intoxication, inability to produce valid identification, disorderly conduct, or staff judgment. We promote responsible drinking and comply with all applicable Iowa liquor laws. We may limit the number or type of alcoholic beverages sold to any individual or group.
Minors (under 21) are welcome in all areas of State Street Lanes, including the dining area, when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. However, minors may not purchase, possess, or consume alcoholic beverages at any time while on the premises.
State Street Lanes is not responsible for the actions or behavior of patrons after leaving the premises. We encourage all guests to plan safe transportation and designate a sober driver.
6. Facility Rules & Code of Conduct
All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner while on State Street Lanes premises. The following rules apply:
- Proper bowling shoes must be worn on the lanes at all times. Street shoes are not permitted on the approach or lane surfaces
- Food and beverages are not permitted on the lane approach area
- Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco products are prohibited inside the facility in accordance with the Iowa Smokefree Air Act
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted
- Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times
- Profanity, verbal abuse, or aggressive behavior directed at staff, other guests, or equipment will not be tolerated
- Intentional damage to lanes, equipment, furniture, or property will result in removal and may result in charges for repair or replacement costs
- Management reserves the right to refuse service to or remove any individual whose conduct is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate
7. League Participation
League bowling at State Street Lanes is governed by the rules and regulations of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) where applicable, in addition to any house rules established by State Street Lanes. By registering for a league, you agree to:
- Pay all league fees on time as outlined in your league's schedule
- Abide by the league's bylaws, schedules, and rules
- Maintain a valid USBC membership where required by the league
- Notify the league secretary or State Street Lanes staff as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a scheduled session
League fees, once paid, are non-refundable except at the discretion of State Street Lanes management. Refund requests must be made in writing to admin@bowlstatestreet.com. League schedules, standings, and rules may be amended by league officers with reasonable notice to participants.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including but not limited to text, photographs, images, graphics, logos, icons, audio clips, video clips, data compilations, page layout, underlying code, and software, is the property of State Street Lanes or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The State Street Lanes name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of State Street Lanes. You may not use such marks without the prior written permission of State Street Lanes.
You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided that you do not modify the content and you retain all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary notices. Any other use of the Site's content, including reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display, or performance, without our prior written consent, is strictly prohibited.
9. Assumption of Risk & Waiver
Bowling and related recreational activities involve inherent risks of physical injury, including but not limited to slips, falls, muscle strains, and impact injuries. By entering State Street Lanes and participating in any activities, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with such activities, whether or not described herein.
You agree that State Street Lanes, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property arising from your use of the facilities, equipment, or participation in any activity at State Street Lanes, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of State Street Lanes.
For group events, party bookings, and league participation, the organizer or registrant accepts responsibility for communicating these risk assumptions to all members of their party or team.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STATE STREET LANES AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Site
- Any conduct or content of any third party on or related to the Site
- Any content obtained from the Site
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Any activities or events occurring on State Street Lanes premises
- Loss of or damage to personal property brought onto the premises
State Street Lanes is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, including but not limited to clothing, personal bowling equipment, electronics, jewelry, or vehicles in the parking area. All information on the Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the Site or our services exceed the amount you paid to State Street Lanes in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
